History of A.M.P.I. national
The Mexican Association of Realtors A.C. was founded on November 14, 1956 in Mexico City. It is a non-governmental body which represents a benchmark in the real estate business industry throughout the country.
History of A.M.P.I. Cancun
The Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals in Cancun (AMPI Cancun) formed in 1979. The founders Lic. Luis Arce Lara, Jose Urioste Hernández, Ernesto Navarrete, Alberto Gómez and Luis Tenorio Laleui Brat were instrumental in organizing the real estate community into the new association.
AMPI Cancun is a non-profit association, which brings together real estate professionals in order to promote to their world class services and the use of the latest technology. Being the only Real Estate Association in a relationship with all levels of government that has relative connection to the housing market and working closely with them to achieve the best benefits for homeowners and real estate investors.
AMPI Cancun as a non-governmental organization is designed to integrate a "Board of Directors / Real Estate Board" in which the purpose of the council is to support government efforts to achieve the professionalization of the sector by granting the Registration and Accreditation for Real Estate Professionals of Quintana Roo.
Training activities carried out by AMPI Cancun are all designed to support participants to obtain not only the Accreditation and Registration, but to get the eventual federal certification at various levels of completion, along with the presentation of the examination to obtain the "Cedula Professional"(Professional License) which is a Higher Titled Diploma in Real Estate Marketing only awarded by the "Secretaría de Educación Pública" (Ministry of Education).
We have over 100 certified professionals with the realization of the 11 certifications offered by the "National Council for Standardization and Certification of labor competencies" (CONOCER).
AMPI National and all AMPI Sections have an international affiliation with FIABCI (International Foundation for real estate professionals) based in Paris, France; NAR (National Association of Realtors) of the United States of North America, CREA (Canadian Real Estate Association) of Canada and also belongs to ICREA (International Consortium of Real Estate Associations). This brings together 22 countries in the world; with of all these associations AMPI has programs and are working together to achieve their common objectives.
In 1992 A.M.P.I. Cancun achieved one of the most important local objectives in coordination with the University La Salle by creating "The Diploma in Real Estate", which currently has conducted 28 Diploma courses over the years. In 2005 it achieved, in coordination with the "National Council for Standardization and Certification of labor competencies" (CONOCER) the certification of Marketing of Real Estate.
Currently AMPI Cancun and AMPI National offer continuing education and training courses locally in classrooms and via Webex every month for Real Estate, with great success and attendance permitted by the public as well.
AMPI Cancun Associate Members actively participate with the Urban Development Committee, IMPLAN, Business Coordinating Council, Coparmex, Cadastre, POEL and other nongovernmental organizations.
AMPI Cancun has successfully hosted events such as the "XVI Real Estate Forum", providing important conferences and educational opportunities. AMPI Cancun actively participates in the yearly AMPI National Congress and Real Estate and Toursism conventions (MINT- Mercado Inmobiliario Turístico). For all of these objectives achieved, we are pleased to celebrate our XXXIII Anniversary during 2015, celebrating as an association that has not stopped meeting every week and working every day to increase the opportunities for our members and achieving goals.
